About Sam Gageler

I'm Sam Gageler, an independent developer based in Perth, Western Australia. By trade I work in the Microsoft stack as a Dynamics 365 CE and Power Platform developer, building model-driven and custom code apps, automating processes with Power Automate, and wiring up the integrations that get business systems talking to each other properly.

Alongside that I design and build custom websites, and it's the part of the work I enjoy most: taking what a business actually does and putting it online in a way that's fast, easy to run, and doesn't look like everyone else's template. I focus on showcase and content sites rather than online stores, since there are plenty of platforms that already do that well.

On the tools side that usually means Astro, React, TypeScript and Tailwind on the front end, .NET and C# behind it, and whatever the problem actually calls for in between. Working with me means working directly with the person who builds it, there's no account manager relaying briefs, and no template to bend your business around. Most projects need one half of what I do; occasionally one needs both, and it helps that they can be the same conversation.

When I'm not building sites I'm normally tinkering with something small. Most of those live over in DevSpace — a React budget tracker, an F1 season tracker, and a Five Crowns scorecard that turned out to be the most-used thing I've made.
